Vaishali, Bihar: Eight-year-old Komal has trouble moving around. Her right arm is fractured. She's skipping school. Even if she were better, her parents say they'd be reluctant to send her back.

The teacher who allegedly attacked her, and the school principal, deny that Komal was beaten. They do, however, admit to demanding the Independence Day fee from all students

This is a new type of torture on school going kids...Surprised to see such new
Are we really celebrating Independence ? since 1947, who really enjoyed freedom in this country ?

Only Politicians and Muslims.
The school authorities have no business to beat or rebuke or even demand anything from children. Moderate punishment for indiscipline or not attentively studying is different matter.
This is a case requiring immediate investigation and appropriate action against the school.

These incidents of torture and ruthless beating to students can never be thought in western world. These medieval practices are still commonly practiced in India. Kids do also have self respect and don't deserve to be humiliated publicly. Such punishments cause severe psychological damage to children and in fact many children lose interest in studies. Do these idiotic teachers themselves know the great responsibility of a teacher. A teacher is the architect of the citizens of tomorrow.
Oh...What kind of mind these teachers have? Will she ever wish to go to school or send her children to school?

This incident is a issue of national shame since it stands against the basic idealism of our freedom. Our freedom fighters didn't sacrifice their lives for such an independent India.
I dont know who gave rights for teachers to beat students, bring in some rules to control this. It severely damages the student mentality.
Though some schools teacher definitely make such demands.
In private schools this kind of fees are rather high.
