MINISTER' S ALARM :

The health ministry has raised a red flag over the hazards of eating vegetables and fruit.

A hormone used to induce childbirth and lactation is being injected in pumpkin, watermelon, brinjal, gourd and cucumber plants to make them bear bigger fruit, warned minister for state for health Dinesh Trivedi.

Any kind of chemical ripening of fruit is prohibited under the Prevention of Food Adulteration Rules. “Farmers are blatantly using hormone shots to speed up the growth of their vegetables.

These hormones may cause irreparable damage to our health, if taken through these vegetables, over a period of time. Even more shocking is that the public/authorities are not aware of this malpractice,“ wrote Trivedi in a letter to Union health secretary Sujatha Rao.

If with these hormones, Pumpkins can bear bigger and stronger fruits then by eating these pumpkins humans will also bear bigger and stronger fruits.so how is it bad

Else after Ganga it will be the river Yamuna, on whoz name the Govt will pass the bill of cleaning it and gulp all the money

Even this solution is with people

1) Consider Govt as waste of India and dont expect anything from them.they wont be doing anything good

2) use fresh water to wash fruits and veggies

3) Consumers and public stop considering public water resources like rivers and well as garbage bin and stop polluting them.

The tragedy is that entire people are interested only in making money irrespective of affect on other citizens. The paradox is that each individual wants others to be honest. The consequence is that all suffer. There appears no solution as huge majority are involved in malpractices.
