Board Examinations in Schools have been designed for testing the academic preparedness of the students by fixing 'check points' at various levels in pre-college education.
I have found that there are excessive checkpoints viz:
Class 5
Class 8
Class 10
class 12
4 check points in an academic period of 12 years look a bit more. I think they should be reduced to 2 check points in a span of 12 years. 12th being the final check point, one more board exam could be adjusted in between; for example either at class 8th or 10th.
eventually there should be 2 board exams:
Class 12th
Class 8th / 10th
