A Congress M.P in Andhra Pradhesh had recently bought a costly car worth 34 lakhs. He wished that his car number should be AP 09 PY 9999.He bought this fancy number by spending 5 lakhs.

You are right, according to paper news ,Mr. Lagadapati. Rajagopal Hon'ble MP, of Congress party Andhra Pradhesh bought a car of Rs. 34 lakhs. For fancy number AP 09 PY 9999 He participated in auction and spent 5.5 lakhs.

Not only politicians but others are also getting fancy numbers. This is foolish to pay such amount for getting fancy number but this is okay for the RTO to raise revenue. As long as the concerned person uses his own money, we need not bother.

Bhanu- The government earned more money by allotting fancy number. If the M.P. pays from his own income. there is nothing to complain about.

Deepti- Not only congress but others also are selfish. However, we should see if there is any irregularity. There is rule for getting fancy number for which higher fee is charged. so, the congress leader has not done any thing wrong in getting fancy car number. If he has paid from his own pocket, there is no difficulty. If there are no corruption charges against him, we cannot fault him for spending his money on fancy car number. every one has his hobby and notions on which he may spend. Moreover, the general public is benefited by increased revenue to the state in shape of higher fee collected by RTO.
