good to hear this....still, my broadband speed sucks.....
Why did they call a strike in the first place? As far as I understand they were agitating against some imaginary grievances. The Sam Pitroda committee recommendation to effect volutary retirement scheme for 1 lakh redundant hands, is not even under active consideration of the government.BSNL, thanks to its slothful and inefficient ways, is very fast losing its ground to the private telecom players and an indefinite strike is last thing that it can afford.
Every strike costs losses and inconvenience to people. Hence, it is nice that strike of BSNL ended.

Its good news that BSNL employees has called off their strike.

Is strike the right way to protest???

It seems good sense has finally dawned upon them.I am not sure what are they agitating for?Bsnl needs capital for expansion and modernization and the unions wont't allow even an insignificant percentage of divestment!
Yes , I was expecting "out of order" "not reachable" from my phone from today onwards.

Yes Abid, had they been allowed to continue with their threat of prolonging it indefinitely that would have caused disruption on a wide scale. When big private players like Tata,Reliance and others are making rapid strides in the telecom sector this public sector telecom giant is struggling because of the negative attitude on the part of some of its employees and workers.
BSNL workers had realised it well. That may be the real reason behind this call off!!!
