Nigerians have been living in Goa and in other parts of our country - many of them are here for studies. We have heard of many instances where they were caught with drugs but largely they have been peaceful.
But there has been unrest in Goa over the death of a Nigerian in police custody. A large number of Nigerians protested rather violently against the government and there has been unrest in the area...The latest incident was that a minister called Nigeriand cancer which was going too far...Many people are of the opinion that it is nothing bu racism to treat them the way they have been.We should remember that there is much larger population of Indians in Nigeria...

I am agree with you India is racist country. Out politicians are responsible for it. They divide peoples in cast, subcasts. Our entire political system is based on casts. I read about Nageriain issue. CM of Goa said that Nigerains who are living with out permission will be push back. Not all Nigerains.

I am very surprised to read this news. This is very unfair. Government should immediately consider this matter very seriously.

Most Nigerians living in India are involved in many criminal acts including frauds. No one should feel surprised if I tell you that pet and stray dogs disappear suddenly overnight from the area where these people live. Loud music and other anti social activities are common with these people.
But yes, we are one of the racist countries because our honorable leaders converted us into one. They are plucking the fruits and at the same time teaching us to live with love and harmony. Our leaders want us to deal with cultural, racial and religious intolerance, by promoting respect, fairness and a sense of belonging for everyone and they simply sabotage it for self gains.

Nigerians in India are no saints. Majority of them overstay in India even after their permitted period.
And our police administration’s third degree methods are world famous. This you can have an idea from the number of custody deaths which are on the increase by day. Many Indians have become victims of this savage and primitive methods.
Soon after the custody death of the Nigerian, our thoughtless government should have contacted the Nigerian embassy and a talked with them to settle the matters. Yes, backlash will be there. Victims will be Indians in Nigeria.

Regarding our Racist attitude, I would like to quote a Telugu proverb which explains all.
Guruvinda Ginja(Ratti in Hindi and Gulaganjiin Kannada) doesn't know that there is a black spot in its back. It takes pride in its red colour.

Latest is the same minister clarified that he called those who indulged in drug trafficking are mostly Nigerians and he called them cancerous and he ordered an enquiry into the chaos the community created, it is not right to take law into their hands.

Punish the law breaking Nigerians. Not every Nigerian. All Nigerians are drug peddlers ? This aspect has to be ensured by the law enforcing authorities. Otherwise Indians in Nigeria will become the victims of backlash .
We have a pact with Nigeria where our people are helping out in their country being employed there and their students get to study here. Most of them live peacefully and their life style cannot be questioned but at the same time they need to follow whatever is the norm of the country they live in ! This particular incident was tragic but it also brought out the pent up emotions of Indians, going by the many comments I have read on the net, one can see that they are all biased against the Nigerians because of drug peddling and also email frauds that some are involved in....It may be a small percentage but it has blackened their reputation to a great extent.I feel that they should analyse and reform themselves ..Otherwise more such incidents may occur and it may lead to a diplomatic row !
