so far we witnessed stampede killing people in religious fairs like Kumbh, temples, railway station. Now stampede at Karnataka Chief Minister oath taking ceremony. I wonder why they need to hold such event in Public as a sort of festival. What is the difficulty in oath taking in Raj Bhawan?

Exactly my feelings ! where is the need to make such a big event out of it in the open where there is always scope for things to become rough ! It is such a pity that a party worker died...

The motive behind Holding an oath taking function in public is to show the ruling party's strength to its rivals,

The very fact of oath taking after winning election suffices to prove strength. The oath taking ceremony should be in Raj Bhawan. The practice of celebrating such ceremony in large gathering is clearly a very bad practice.

Indeed a bad practice. The party which is going to rule the state for the next 5 years, started its regime with a bad practice. pity. Yes, oath taking ceremony should be held in Rajbhavan as is the practice in every state.
