Selecting team is an internal matter of a political party. But the voters need to know a party and its management better. BJP is a major party and so any change in its leadership is of interest. BJP has decided its team- parliamentary Board. Modi and his associates have key role.

However, political parties need not comment about internal affairs of a party. Congress has also made some comments which are unnecessary. This is particularly about one general secretary involved in criminal case. But this should not be congress headache. Rather Congress should be benefited if BJP officeholders get bad reputation by selecting criminal elements.

    Isn't it sign of free speech as it should be in a democracy. If they would behave like slaves of high command then what is the need of different posts!

    We work in different roles. Constitution gives us freedom of expression as individual citizen and not otherwise. When you work in a government office, you are in a different role and there is no such freedom. As a member of political party, you must adhere to collective opinion of the party otherwise the party will lose identity.

    I have worked in corporate sector in different capacities starting my career as application engineer to right to the top of ladder and never discouraged anyone expressing him/her coming out with their opinion. In fact it helps to have different versions on a topic, as you said - as long as they are with in decency and ethics.

    I have worked in corporate sector in different capacities starting my career as application engineer to right to the top of ladder and never discouraged anyone expressing him/her coming out with their opinion. In fact it helps to have different versions on a topic, as you said - as long as they are with in decency and ethics.


    When you are in an organization, freedom of expression and views is not lost. Only you need express this inside the organization and not outside. Also, when a decision is taken at appropriate level, all have to implement irrespective of personal opinion. This is true also for political parties and other organization. Organization need internal democracy which does not meaning airing differences outside.

    Modi's popularity is blown out of proportion. There is no doubt that he is most popular in a section of population viz. Hindutava minded. Whatever be popularity of Modi and Hindutva brigade, this is restricted mainly to Hindi and Hindutva belt. On the other hand, Congress is everywhere- from Kashmir to Kanypa Kumari- Laksha Deep, Port Blair, Nagaland. At best, BJP may equal the record of Atal Behari Vajpayee in which case the Hindutva agenda will remain in cold storage.
