The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday arrested sacked Commonwealth Games (CWG) Organizing Committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi in connection with his role in the AM Films and TSR scams.

The arrest order was carried out after the CBI had questioned Kalmadi extensively on the two incidents, particularly on the documents relating to the two deals.

The CBI had asked Kalmadi to appear before it on Monday to clarify some new issues which surfaced during the visit of the agency's officials to London in connection with Queen's Baton Relay scam.

Kalmadi had earlier expressed his inability to appear before the CBI citing his foreign visit, saying he would return home only after April 19. But even after returning from his visit abroad, he did not turn up before the sleuths saying he was still not in Delhi, sources said.

I am sure that Kalmadi was not doing all this corruption alone. He must have had some people in the Government who were his benefactors? those people that gave him the job in the first place. Finally who is going to pay for the loss of national prestige and standing, built by thousands of Indians working all over the world to improve the image of their motherland??
Very good.Congress suspended this man only when arrested.Where were they till this moment?

Congress plays the game of corruption like chess. You need protect the King. Here the King means Prime Minister and Congress President. all others are pawns in game and can be sacrificed when not convenient.
