Under-fire Australia captain Ricky Ponting was given just three days to decide his future on Monday as selectors said the next one-day squad would be announced on Wednesday.

Ponting, who let slip Australia's 12-year grasp on the World Cup last week - just three months after their heavy Ashes defeat - has already hinted that he may step down.

This was on the cards after he lost quarters against team India.

Michael Clarke would be inline for captaincy... my guess...
i know ponting is a good batsman and good captaincy but i think his should be retire from captency because a lot of young player are there in australian side
i think he may step down as captain but will play for Australia.
Every hill have its value.Ponting had done many for Australian cricket. The defeat in ICC World Cup 2011 is not a waterloo to Ponting.
