The Maoists have their own distinct ideology and have declared a war against the state. The can be expected to do nothing better. The security of the I.A.S. officers must be more effective. The officers in Naxal affected regions are at great risk and they need tight security.

Situations like this test the real power and decisiveness of the Government. I think that the life of the IAS Officer is worth leaving those maoists. Later on, they can be captured if Government wants. It is very tough but still it's not impossible.

The negotiations will commence shortly. Maoists are raising more demands. They assured that the hostages will be safe during negotiations.
Now this is clear that ultimately dialogue is the only way. Should Maoists not use dialogue as a continuous and permanent means and shun violence. even after war, talks are the last resort.
