Legal and strict action needs to be taken to realize Mark Zuckerberg what he has done.
I agree with the sentiments of the IPS officer Amtabh Thakur. Nobody can really insult Mahatma Gandhi. In fact, the net work is making fun of itself.

To start with, I totally condemned the act and the group page should be taken out immediately(I think facebook already has as I cant find the group page anymore).

But what I would like to point out is some illogical premises put forth by my fellow community members. I dont get how punishing Mark Zuckerberg would solve the problem and more importantly prevent it. Facebook is a huge social network which boasts of 1 billion users and more than 15 million users from India. Anyone could have created the page.

Infact what if I create a similar page here at Boddunan(I will certainly not, just putting an example). The forum page would be live immediately for other members to see till Maverick sees it and deletes it. But you cant punish Maverick for my wrng doing.

Though personally I would certainly like more stringent barriers before fans create a profane page but I guess thats highly unlikely.

Sorry if I have offended anyone but thats how I feel.
Thanks to the person who filed the case and thanks Ravi for sharing this with us.

hello friend i did not have any idea about it so i cannot comment on that it is not my opinion.
Mark Zuckerberg is only the creator of the platform called FACEBOOK, and there are almost billion of users discussing on the platform, posting their views. Few posts, groups, views might be offensive towards some individual or some state or nation. so its the moderators responsibility of FACEBOOK to make sure not to approve such illegal or offensive groups at the first place.

Facebook has removed the offensive page only after the case was booked against it, and not when the page was created. The creators of facebook should have deleted the offensive page rightaway when it was created than to wait for someone to point it out.
It is generally not possible to act at spur of moment. Complain is necessary. Even on Boddunan, there are many irrelevant, offensive or meaningless posts but action is taken after reporting by some member.

I request that the moderators should regularly read the posts and take immediate action against spams and offensive posts or articles without waiting for complaints or reporting by members.
