The government is considering the issue of granting voting rights to Non-Resident Indians and suggestions have been submitted to the Election Commission on the matter, Union minister for overseas Indian affairs Vayalar Ravi said on Sunday.

Govt. only thinks of increasing their vote banks, there are other issues which with NRI people which need to be resolved.

This is really a good initiative.But will they be issued with voter ID's?.I think the process will be tedious.
