Delhiites finally got a chance to thaw after three days, with pleasant sunshine on Monday afternoon raising the maximum temperature to a slightly more tolerable 15.6 degrees Celsius. The bright afternoon was appreciated all the more as it came after a sunless Sunday, which was the coldest day in Delhi at least since 1969. Safdarjung had recorded 11 degrees on Sunday, the lowest maximum in the past 42 years.
