I had seen some of his movies like Mere apne, Meragaon, Meradesh etc

There can be nobody among film lovers who is not impressed by Vinod Khanna.  He was a very talented artist. He also participated in politics.  He strictly followed the rules of the Film Industry. He was once at Agra for speaking in an election meeting.  He happened to see poster of Raj Babbar - a movie star. He was told that Raj Babbar was also a contestant. Then he refused to attend the public meeting as he would not campaign against another film actor. 

Vinod khanna was a famous actor, there is a big loss to industry. May his soul rest in peace.

Vinod Khanna acted in many popular and quality films like Imthithan, Mere Apne, Achanak , Shaque , Muqaddar ka Sikandar and so on..he was one of best looking actors and went through many ups and downs in his personal life but was always dignified.

His real triumph was to be accepted by audiences after an absence of more than five years. He had a very commanding screen presence and matched Amitabh scene for scene.

The most important factor is a versatile actor. He worked as a villain and Hero too. Above all,Vinod Khanna worked with the the then famous directors like Gulzar. His death is a loss to the the Entire Bollywood.

He was one of the best and probably better than Amitabh but he ruined his career after he joined Osho Brigade. 

I agree that  Vinod Khanna is one of the best actors in India. He had looks and tons of histrionic talents

I am not sure if he was better than Amitabh but with dedication he could have easily given stiff competition to  him.It was also sad to see that none of the current lot of stars and actors paid respects to him during his last journey . Goes to show how self centered the Industry has become.
