But what has she done as Governor of Mizoram, where she is posted now. A governor has a role independent of the state government and mer disagreement or refusal by governor to sign some papers cannot be dubbed as misconduct. Then, she should have been sacked as governor of Gujarat and not transferred to the new state.

Well, we will have to wait and see the new developments.....Since Pranab Mukherji himself has given the orders there must be more than one valid reason for her removal, just because she holds a high position does not mean that she gets away with what she has done in the past !

The President acts only on advice of union cabinet. So what ever is done by President or in his name, only union cabinet and not the Presdient personally is answerable.

It goes without saying that the president acted on the advice of the union cabinet. That's why the opposition parties are blaming that the union government is resorting to vendetta.

No doubt, It is well known that Presdient acts on advice of Union Cabinet but a member remarked that President himself had given orders. That is why I had to post that President is not answerable but only the union cabinet is responsible.
it is the council of ministers not union cabinet, president acts as rubber seal in case executive has the majority. Similar is governor and this has been done to remove dual power center. Elected government by people of India should have supreme authority instead of selected administrators. Opposition is dearth of issues and try to find out smoke out of nothing.

Whatever it may be the row in the parliament as against the union cabinet.

President still has the right to refuse if the order is not acceptable .since he alone can remove a governor.....Anyway there is enough reason for her to be removed since she has resorted to misuse of power and corrupt practices , so Center has to take action if they want to give a clean governance, of course the Congress and its allies are bound to show their anger because she was part of the coterie..

President has right to refuse once in administrative decisons and cannot refuse finance bills.

She has caused a loss of Rs 1200 crores to Gujrat Government and is that not enough reason??, a common man can be penalised for Rs 1000 , so why shd these people get away ? Congress has only scamsters including their top leader Sonia, so all this does not bother them. They feel it is their birthright to loot the country ..

President cannot refuse to act against advice of concil of ministers. He may request the council of minister to reconsider the decison. But finally, the advice of the council of ministers prevails. That is why opposition is blaming the government and not the President.

Since there is enough evidence , the president has passed it without any reluctance...As far as Congress party and its allies are concerned, they will blow out any issue just to show that they are still around...

Yes. President endorsed all the charges levelled against the Governor. And for the congress, it's necessary to make noise to prove its presence.

This is huge sum and honorable President sought advice from AG and he is satisfied with this according to news channels.  Congress is not raising this matter in Parliament but instead going around news channels.

After due discussions and consultations president upheld the charges on Beniwal. The president has done what he is supposed to do.
