Not surprising at all, Indian politics has now completely become the great Indian Circus or the great Indian tamasha, and any circus is incomplete without an official jester, so the jester has now been let out. As it is, if we are to die, it is better to die laughing than weeping! :blink: :woohoo:

Very true ! The politics practiced by the top parties is shameful to say the least ! The congress party probably thinks that a scam ridden Lalu is going to make a difference to their future prospects...As you say, we may have a lot of things to laugh about now since Lalu whatever he is can be quite amusing with his comments and a media delight .. :laugh:

A country ruled by a corrupt family can expect little else ! Hopefully we may see some much needed change at the central leadership and with AAP making its presence felt we may see the family kicked out forever ! The problem is that they still get support from their own kind - Mulayam Singh Yadav of SP and Lalu of course who will now be ever grateful to them ..

He has filed an appeal before higher court and till the appeal is decided, bail is granted. This is legal process and it is no use commenting on this.

All are equal before law. But law is managed by individuals only. So money and muscle can play role here. Lalu Yadav has been granted bail by supreme Court after considering all aspects. It is no use and also makes no sense to make conmment on why the apex Court granted bail. Bail is the rule and jail exception. Lalu Yadav will definitely have to suffer complete jail sentence if his appeal is rejected.

Lok Pal or no Lok Pal, corruption is not reduced. Actually what we need is electoral reforms. Presently, elections are costly. The elected members need to indulge in corruption to recover the money spent on elections with some surplus above the invested amount. They can indulge in corruption only with connivance of bureaucracy. There has to be state funding of elections so that any candidate must not spend any amount from his own sources.
