We cannot afford to have two unscrupulous enemies in our neighborhood. I wonder if there is an end to this seemingly eternal border disputes.

Relation with Pakistan is more bitter as once Pakistan was part of India and people of both countries belong to same race and many have bitter remembrance of Partition. With China, we have only border disputes. That is why, there are casualties in Indo Pak border violation. But the Indo Chinese violation are slightly different. This is more like token claim to territory by showing flags. In one case, the Indian and Chinese also shared beer. In Ladakh, the Chinese soldiers were almost breathless and hungry in Indian territory. Indian army gave them some food and escorted them back to their territory.

This news is just recent. In fact, Indians gave sweets and Chinese gave beer. This is because the army officers on both sides of border have no personal enmity and they are only on duty. But there is more bitterness between Indian and Pakistani. The Pakistani are really very inhuman and the way they behave is like barbarian and not soldier.

It's an undeniable fact that soldiers on the border are on duty, not personal enemies. How many of our Pakistan brethren realise the nobility behind this fact.

China considers Arunachal Pradesh as their own area and for them Indian are intruders. They will keep this area as a disputed one to take advantage of Indian weakness on settling issues once for ever.

Chinese troops refused to vacate the occupied positions . They occupied an area 30 km inside the Indian territory. With a view to resolve the differences, Indian side has decided to go for a flag meeting between the local commanders instead of escalating the tension.

No country occupies to vacate, it is our responsibility to make them vacate. Flag meetings have limited meaning, we have done nothing more than flag meetings for decades with different countries. It is high time we let them know our intentions.

That's true Sunil. The very purpose of occupying a piece of land is to grab it once and for all.
