I want to extend Sanjeev's thread. There, we were trying to find reasons for drinking. Now, I want to know
"Why do men often quarrel after drinking?"
Why are they behaving like just animals and doing foolish acts once that poison begins to do chemistry on him    ?

They try to find new excuses to drink. But every drinker is not bad.

If drinker is bad, how many good people can we get in this world :cheer:
Only finger counts....

Count me as one of them. I have done it only for the sake of company on official occasions. Never to drink it. I am a poor guy, cant afford to spend.
Some are forced to drink due to cold weather.
Some drink to maintain the status.
Some drink to forget pain of body as they work hard.
Some drink to forget any pain of life.
Some drink to show his drunkenness.
Some drink to relief any tension.
But when wine drinks you
You are finished.

Nice way to explain drink for various purposes. Well said- when wine drinks you, you are finished. I remember an old saying- First you just taste, then drink, ultimately you are drunk.

always 'a small' turns 'a large'......but I have never seen 'a large' changed back to 'a small' :woohoo:

Many have to change. My cousin was a heavy drinker. He has now totally stopped on medical advice. Now I also drink moderately. With age, everything reduces. You can eat and drink more in young age but when you grow old, you can eat less, drink less and work less. One should not take anything more than he needs or can.
Yes, reasonable people will do so but there are a number of people who get more and more habitual with the age, even they drink themselves to dirt.

I agree. I have seen such persons whose drunkenness spoiled thems and their families. I have mentioned one such individual in an article whose link is given below:

I would go and see this article right now, but this is common scenario in lower classes.

I have read that article....really a new thing to me
I just went there and, read it and commented. A wonderful piece of writing.
It might be because there is no control over his mind and they even not understand what they do.
Yes that's right but most people remain aware of their status. I have never seen them abusing their moms and sis.

I agree. People behave well with their moms and sis even after drink. They have still sense. Drink only makes them less hesitant.

In fact, drink is a luxury. This has become too common. Hence the issue.

This is a matter of compatibility. If wife also drinks or cooperates, there will be no issue. Often there is quarrel on this issue. My cousin has now stopped drinking on medical advice. But even before this, his wife controlled him by allowing restricted quantity and no more at home only. Hence, no quarrel. Also, some time back, a woman attempted managing her drinking husband by corporal punishment. she would beat him with a stick whenever he drank. One day, he complained to local police station about this. He complained that his wife would beat him even for occasional drink. They were reconciled by police. The wife was advised to be a bit liberal and use her cane sparingly.

But some cases are rare....
I have seen in many poor families, husbands beat wives in the evenings after coming home drinking. Why so?
