Even as north India shudders under harsh winter conditions, heavy fog delayed 31 flights in Delhi on Monday morning.

Three domestic flights were canceled since Sunday night and another seven have been delayed. Three international flights were canceled while 13 were delayed.

But there could be some relief for fliers. The Govt has intervened after passengers were hit by a day of disruptions. According to the new rules, the minimum visibility required for a large aircraft to land has been reduced to 150 metres from the earlier 175 metres.

This is a routine affair every year. The trains as well as air flights are affected. The authorities as well as passengers need to take this fact in view.
