Anything within limits is permissible.We should teach children to save some amount from the given pocket money. :)

No.It should not be given to school students as many drugs and other things are available around schools and colleges.

A little of it can be considered but the pocket should kept as small as possible!

Little pocket money is advisable for urgent needs. Good habits are always needed and it does nt link with money..If they have will to do something bad like drugs they can even get by stealing or other illegal means..

I am not much in favor of giving pocket money to the students, but where its not avoidable, the sum should be very much reasonable and also the parents should keep a check on how and where it is being spent!!

Parents must teach the children to maintain a small book to write about how their pocket money is spent.We can then let them understand about what are the expenses that could have been avoided.

We can educate children to spend their pocket money for buying some note books,buying birthday presents,donating to orphanage etc..

I was given pocket money only during school tours.I had seen many students with pocket money spending by buying useless dirty sweets available on roadsides.Now instead of that sweets some more 'high things' are available.
