While thinking about pessimism and optimism I can not resist the temptation of quoting Sir Wisnston Churchill in this context:"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity;an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty."

This is an excellent quote. No pains- no gains is a popular proverb. an opportunity only enables you to gain by putting efforts. On the other hand, every difficulty gives some experience to learn and overcome it.
