Its a good thing that the RTI has taken a firm stand. Actually the information about the Padma awardees should be very much transparent, which unfortunately is not so at the moment!
I always wonder why B grade actors such as Saif Ali Khan and Aishwarya Rai etc. get awarded such high civilian honors whereas many people who are doing great work remain unnoticed!

I agree with kalyani that mostly undeserving actors and actress are given without proper analysis..may well deserving people and acheivers are not given..
