Tired after waiting for more than a year for a job, around 70 former students of Frankfinn Institute of Airhostess Training met Shiv Sena MLA Eknath Shinde on Saturday at the party’s local office, Anand Ashram, and presented their grievances. The students claimed that they were promised jobs as cabin crew but were instead sent to call centres and hospitals for job interviews.

They also alleged that during the course a few faculty members made them kiss boys and seduce them, and also smoke and drink “so that they would get placements”.

Shinde has asked the institute’s Thane centre head to return the fees to the students through cheques or else the “Sena would agitate in their own style”.

Another teacher would play the truth and dare game and made us ask ‘dirty’ questions. We are all from conservative families,” said a 21 year old student, who did not wish to be named.
