    It is worse for the regions farther.

    I remember 2004 tsunami affected coasts as far as Africa. A few people died on Kenyan coast.

    Earth quakes are occurring frequently in earth.Man has to think about his actions.I don't believe in Mayan Calender.

    he recent quake activity isn't normal by any standards.The kind of heavy rains that are happening in Karnataka and region of India haven't happened since last 300 years (so I have heard).

    I believe it has some (distant) correlation with the Sun's solar cycle which is at its minimum since more than 100 years.
