Gautam Gambhir and Harbhajan Singh have all been rested for the tri-series against Sri Lanka and New Zealand that kicks off on August 10.

Abhimanyu Mithun, who made his Test debut against Sri Lanka, returns to the one-day squad in place of Ashok Dinda, who was in the Asia Cup side. Dinda will now head to Australia, along with with Manish Pandey, to replace R Ashwin and Sourabh Tiwary in the Indian team participating in the Emerging Players tournament.

sajeetharan i think sachin is in good form so team selectors give rest to sachin because he remain fit during the world cup next year.

Team looks good but not much experienced bowling attack...
He he! sachin is not good form in odi's. He has played only 3 odis this year. that too last one was in februrary. he is making records agains weakest teams like zimbawe , bangladesh and srilanka in tests.
Buddy srilanka team is not weakest in any form of cricket and bangladesh team has playing good even much higher then there level from last few 3 years.

sachin will play one day series against Australia in Oct in India.
its time to call Kapil Dev back. atleast he is world cup winning captain and was stand out performer there. and india need experienced pace bowlers like him.
