Generally, the middle east countries are considered conservative and blamed for gender bias.
Strangely, the french women need obtain permission from police for wearing trousers in the capital- Paris. In 1890, there was a relaxation for horse riding women, who could wear trousers. later, in 1909, cyclist women were exempted from the rule and allowed to wear trousers. In the year, 2010, there is hope for abolition of the law on wearing of trousers by women.

Paris is the western country they always forward comparative than other countries. As per the internal convincingness they modifies rules liberalize for public convenience.
Abid- There is complete freedom of dress in India. You may wear anything when not on job. There is prescribed uniform at certain establishments. Men usually wear western type dress or Indian dress that varies in regions. The women wear saris/ blouse or salwar kameez or Jeans.
It is strange that women were no so far allowed to wear Pant/ trousers in Paris. This is also ridiculous that they are making law against wearing of Burqua even by willing women.
