Without showing or expressing our own natural attitude we do not get recognised as an individual personality. Simultaniously we need to accept and respect the others attitude, even though we may not like it and agree with it.
The attitudes of each member in a family may be different, but they co-exist.
Hence their is no meaning in saying as "Dnt try to show me your attitude,I do have my own".
Asking others, not to show their attitude, but at the same time trying to express their own. I think it is rubbish.

They simply mean- "Do not thrust yourself on me." The sentence is badly constructed and is in bad taste. This is definitely irritating. I agree. But we have to tolerate as we cannot reform them

Hello JS,
Showing attitude means = showing-off egoistic nature.
If you act over-smart and showoff yourself as if you are above everyone else around then that would be called "showing attitude"...

Every one has his own unique style and attitude. so, when we talk to anyone, we have to reconcile with his or her attitude. So, the quoted words are purposeless.

In current perspective and contemporary vocabulary the comment 'Showing attitude' straightaway conveys the meaning = showing off aggressive and dominating expressions...
