Shah Jahan built the world famous Taj Mahal to hold the tomb for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal thus immortalizing his love for wife. In modern time some of our rich and famous seem to take a leaf out of the Mughal emperor's book.Mr.Gunapati Venkata Krishna Reddy, the chairman of GVK Industries has gifted shares worth Rs.1640 crore in his flafship company to his wife Indira Krishna Reddy.Sometime back Mukesh Ambani made a birthday gift to his wife Nita in the form of Airbus plane costing Rs.240 crore which propelled his brother Anil to gift a yacht priced ar around Rs.400 crore.A great show of love for their better halves!!

These are gimmicks played by the rich. A film song is worded- Ek shahanshah ne banava ke taj mahal ham garibon ka majak kiya hai (an emperor ridiculed us poor by making Taj).

Love to spouse is natural. This is between them and there is no meaning in showing it off to others.

I think showing love is not bad. Love has no limit. So giving and taking is normal things in love.

Well, all I can say is that I am envious of Mumtaz, Tina and Neeta Ambani etc. but jokes apart, giving expensive and flambouyant gifts do not necessarily mean true love. In the case of Ambanis, it is just that they have so much money that they have to keep on finding ways to spend it.

True love between husband and wife does not demand gifts, only mutual respect and understanding and caring for each other.

No need to gift precious gifts, ornaments flights, flats, apartments... ans so on........

The wife and husband relation is very simple and sensitive.
By following some simple points like:
Mutual Understanding.
Giving self respect.
Respecting her principles and values.

will always keep wife very happy in her life, and brings up with a very strong bond in their relationship.....

Thanks 'n' Regards,
Deepti.
I agree with Dipti. Love is heart felt and sincere. This does not need expensive gifts. The gift system is being prtesently sponsored for commercial prrposes.

@Gulshan, I am Deepti :(

Gifts system is for commercial purposes. But it doesnt mean that gift system should be banned between them. If one feels that material love is important between the two to make their relation more colorful, then its left to them.

Thanks 'n' Regards,
Deepti.
Love is great. Love is powerful. Showing love is need of love to increase love day by day.

When I thought of this topic and floated it I did not mean to be judgemental by titling the thread like this.It is absolutely true that one's love for the better half has nothing to do with expensive gifts or anything of that kind.May be the persons I mentioned were just trying to make a statement of something by their extravagant actions!!
I think topic is ok to adjust. Good information. Love is everything in life.

for businessmen this not only a sign of showering affection on their beloved but also an opportunity to save tax or rather evade tax.
