Repetition of same articles

Hello Moderator,

I already discussed about this kind of repetition of same article more than once. I have given the link of that thread below.

Now i come across one more in that category.

The content of both the articles are same and both are credited cash and points.

I think it is high time that we should find out some way of detecting this kind of errors automatically. The editors can maintain a database of title of articles and find out if the article already exists.

You have raised a very valid issue. Editors must be very careful regarding the duplicaty of articles.

But the question is how to trace those articles which have the same content but different titles?

Software Engineers never die...They just go offline.

I agree Meean. Duplicate or similar articles should not exist and not carry cash or points. This is a serious matter. There should be no difficulty in weeding out such articles.

Yes.This is a very serious issue.You are right,The content of both article is same.
I think maybe the editors are checking this, but under rare case they miss out some.I don't know.Only moderator can answer it.
Anyways..once again..good caught :)

Unless members are conscientious and maintain mimnimum standards of probity in their dealings with the site, it may be virtually impossible for the boddunan team to detect it.Thanks Meean for bringing it to the knowledge of all.

Even if the articles have different titles, same content will be checked as violations of copying from other sites is done. But if there is difference in language and style also, any action will be difficult.
