Presently, allopathy is most popular medical sysytem the world over. Hence other systems including Ayurveda are considered alternative. It is not the history of medicine system but the current use in present era that matters.

History and effectiveness of a therapeutic system should be taken in to consideration. Additionally several Medical experts confirmed that Ayurvedic treatment succeeded in treatment of ailments where allopathy failed. Above all Above all Ayurveda is a non - invasive medicine sans side effects.
Allopathic medicines are mostly well regulated and constantly watched, this is not there, with Ayurveda, but it has most of its potential.

Allopathis medicine curb one ailment and give birth to another ailment. This is not there in Ayurveda. That's why Ayurveda is gaining ground all over the world now. There is no stopping for it.
Ayurveda system in no doubt a complete system and is ideal. But here the question is why this is 'alternative' and non 'main'. It is obviously based on the glaring facts that allopatheic system is in use all over the world. So all other systems can be considered only as alternative and not main.

Yes. right now Allopathy is widely used all over the world. Bur now the scenario is changing. It is evident from the UNO's decision to declare World Yoga day, Got a tremendous response came fro 145 different countries of the world.

It is possible that what is considered alternative today may become main in distant future. But currently, allopathy is very dominant. Hence all other systems- Homoeopathy, Unani, Sidddha, acupuncture, Ayurveda are considered alternative. Even in India- the home of ayurvesa, allopathy has supreme place. This position is likely to continue for many many years.

It may take generations. But a change started. The change , once it starts will certainly makes its mark.
No doubt Ayurveda is great which provides a healthy body and healthy mind, without any side effects. But Allopathy is widely popular and readily dependable anywhere at any time, with the availability of technology & facility. People rarely think about side effects of Allopathic medicines. The patients have no patience. They look for immediate result and fast recovery which they expect from Allopathic treatment. But when everything fails, as a last resort they depend on Ayurveda.
Side effect in Allopathy and high cost of treatment made Ayurveda the most sought after medicinal treatment which is sans side effects and non - invasive. Ayurveda will not damage the internal organs. Rather it strenghens built - in immune system.That day is not far off when Ayurveda rules the roost world over.
