I also prefer small street corner eateries and tea stall. These are nice for Chhhole Bhature, Dosa and snacks. Only in summer, I prefer to enter airconditioned restaurant.

In cities like Delhi and Mumbai I have seen such small eateries cater to really poor people at very affordable prices. They also act as places of social gatherings. In Chandni Chowk there is an eatery which gives meal at Rs 20-25/- and has unending flow of clients. One has to eat standing but see theprice and poor can fill their belly with a variety of food available. Small retail shops also give personalised service unlike faceless Malls.
Smal hotels and shops are blessings of every city. You can save your money and enjoy some innocent moments of life.
Small hotels and shops are big boon for the people who cannot spend much money to food. Some restaurant seems to be big but when you visit the cooking room then only we know how hygienic the food is.
Small eateries are good provided they offer hygienic food, why go to expensive restaurants when we can get tasty food in small eateries. Same goes for small retail shops, you tend to buy the exact item and save money unlike buying extra items on display which attract and hold our attention leading us to spend more than we have decided.
