First of all there are not enough judges to attend the cases and that causes a lot of delay since the existing judges are overworked. Added to that is the number of unnecessary cases. if there is filtering ,probably 60% of the cases could be dismissed at the initial stages itself. Civil cases can go on for many years and finally when t is over the parties may not even be happy with the judgment so it is bettter to compromise at the initial stages rather than drag on and waste time and money !
Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

When it will be solved is a million dollar question for which there is no answer in the visible future. As you said the foremost reason for pending of case is lack of enough number of Courts and judges.

to solve the cases at faster rate the Indian government should focus on fast track courts. the empty vacancies of judges and other persons should be filled as early as possible.
