It means we have to face criticism in each and every walks of our lives as no matter how lazy we are, we work and when we work, criticism will begin.

Do your work come what may. And criticism should be seen real perspective. If the criticism helps you in boosting your performance take it. Otherwise turn a deaf ear towards it.

What Aristotle actually means - If you care so much about criticism dont do anything, a person who wants to achieve will also have to learn to face and handle criticism depending on the circumstance ..
Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

Can a person remain without doing anything? Though not anything, one has to do his daily chores.

And while performing these daily chores too, we need to face criticism. And that means, we cannot get rid of it.

And while performing these daily chores too, we need to face criticism. And that means, we cannot get rid of it.
It's obvious. Perform or non performance criticism is bound to be there. It's good to perform and face criticism than sitting idle and die an insignificant death.

It is also a fact that most people love to criticise for the sake of doing so , one need not even take this into consideration. We need to differenciate between constructive criticism and malice and act accordingly. I have a friend who wastes so much of her time and energy bothering about every little criticism that comes her way. I keep telling her to understand why people do it either with good intention ( very few) or simply to drag you down, which in her case they are doing successfully ...

The intentions of criticism can be known easily whether it's a constructive criticism or otherwise.. Wisdom lies in acting according to the situation.
