The provisons pertaining to divorce in Hindu law are of no help to a non Hindu marrying another Hindu. The court refused to allow divorce saying that a non Hindu married to a Hindu according to Hindu rites cannot seek divorce under Hindu law.

This is very strange. Then the person might have claimed for divorce under Non-Hindu law. This makes law very confusing regarding such cases.
