Generally, you look at taxs deductible saving schemes in section 80(C) of Income Tax Act for tax planning. But there are also other sections that give you tax relief. Just consider house rent, education loan,medical insurance and treatment.

Yes I am taking adavantage of mediclaim policy,infrastructure bonds too. But someone told me that infracture bonds are no more considered in tax saving schemes from this year. Can you clear it Sir?. :blink:
Infrastructure bond have some time period lock so it is quite tough, otherwise it is a good option to save some more.

Do any investment can be included for tax relief. That is mutual funds, real estate investment etc. I got this doubt from longtime..
Insurances, Public Provident Fund and few other investment schemes and housing loans are the major sources of tax savings.

I invested 20K in last 2 years but this time I won't do it because as I won't get tax saving benefit from it. But can you tell where can we invest in place on infrastructure bonds?. :)
