Pen drives- a security threat

Army authorities find that pen drives are the biggest threat to security leakage. Indeed this is because of being very handy and small storage device. Presently, many visitors to defence establishments are not allowed to carry camera or cell phones to sensitive areas. It appears that pen drives also need be restricted.

    Yes, pen drives can be easily carried everywhere. That's why they can be used to leak data easily. In certain browsing centres of Kerala, we can't use cd or pendrives without their permission. In banks also, cd/pendrive drives are disabled!

    Of course - pen drives are definitely dangerous if used by criminals for their activities and the move is welcome as far as national security is concerned.This goes to show that every single device that has been invented for the convenience of man has two sides to it and the negative minds are perpetually looking for using it against the interest of the nation..

    Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

    I am sure if they disable USB ports in all the systems containing data of importance should do the trick. I think in some industries they do it to make sure the vital data is not being stolen..

    using pen drive is also dangerous for virus point of view. I do not use pen drive for copy paste without scanning.

    Pen drives are very handy.But it can damage our computer.Viruses can enter easily with the help of pen drive.

    Pen Drives are the best devices which helps us to transfer files easily from one computer to another. If pen drives are used by criminals or our enemies they will damage our computer or they will copy files to pen drive and they will misuse them. Pen drives are very helpful to us.

    Carrying pen drives to sensitive places should be restricted... :) :)

    A pen drive is a flash memory device used to transfer files from computer to another.The auto play option in computer is extremely harmful in case of using infected pen drives. It lets the Virus enter before you can take action.

    Now it is available in different shape also and most of the virus are attacked the computer through it.
    Defense department is very much strict and that should be for the security of the country.
