Ashirwad house of Rajesh Khanna.

Rajesh Khanna's daughters have renamed his bungalow from ‘Ashirwaad’ to ‘Vardaan Ashirwaad’. Kakaji's father had given the name as he felt whenever anybody writes to his son, he would benefit as Ashirwaad means blessing. But the family has spoilt the name.

    This is family matter. Let them give any name to the building.

    Only family or the successors can decide about the building. Nobody else may decide to turn this to a musueum.

    The motive behind naming and renaming the house is not known to me. It seems as if they follow the sessions of parliament houses where politicians are busy in renaming states and capitals.

    The motive behind naming and renaming the house is not known to me. It seems as if they follow the sessions of parliament houses where politicians are busy in renaming states and capitals.


    It is customary for ordinary citizens also to name their residences. This facilitates post men and visitors. Some name their residences in names of their deities. My neighbor has his house named as 'Chitragupta Niwas' as being a Kayastha, he believes in that deity.

    As Rajesh Khanna was a celebrity, there is so much news about a non issue.

    We need not think about such irrelevant matters. We have nothing to do with that building This is just a family property matter. The building is not a state building. Rajesh Khanna was no doubt a good actor. we liked him. But his property inheritance, naming of buildings etc are not relevant to public.
