Traditionally, people are worried about 'honor' of their Bahu Beti (Daughter and Daughter in law). But no worry about 'honor' of their boys- sons and sons in law.
The concept of 'honor' differs. A woman's honor is her chastity. a man's 'honor' is his turban. You need only to outrage chastity of a woman or strip her to 'dishonor' her. But a boy's honor is intact even if he is stripped but his turban remains intact.

Unfortunately, even women organizations including those of the Left orientation do not challenge such concepts and fight only for 'women's honor' as conceived.

Is this not the time that women and their organizations struggle to change the concept of 'honor' and make people especially Khap Panchayats worried about 'honor' of their Beta & Damaad (Sons and son in law).

This will need aggressive women teams of Adam teasers ready to molest the boys and outrage their chastity/ modesty. any takers?

A nice discussion, got buried in past without any responses....really bad

In the primitive age itself, she was considered as an instrument for men. So rules were made to protect men's suggestions and power. By giving 'honour' position to women, saying, it's very important for a woman, men have dominated her for centuries. Even if she try to spell something, customs and culture come in front neglecting each and every word of her.
If a woman is raped or molested, everyone believe, her life itself is ruined while no one say so about men.
We have a proverb.....if leaf fall on thorn or thorn fall on leaf, damage is for leaf only. So, she should take care.
When men see mud, he may put his step into it. As soon as he gets out of it, he can clean it with water. Nothing happened. If a woman do so, it's a 'daag' that can't be cleaned even with 1000 pots of water of Holy Ganga

Both man and woman suffers from humiliation. Man can some how come out of such a situation but woman cannot. Mind of the society is fixed. We consider that woman should remain chasty which is not compulsory for man.
In this era, like woman, man also needs protection and help from some kinds of organisations.

But it's only rare in rare cases. Isn't it?

Yes. This is rare. even them man may face only body injury and some trauma but there is no social stigma attached to him. Nobody will say that he his unchaste. Now is the time there is a big movement for fighting the double standard agsinst women. This needs greater awareness among women who have to taking leading role.
