Yes this is true we must be careful when interacting in socila networking sites which are more dangerous.

Yes.. There are advantages and disadvantages of such sites. So better we keep this thing in mind and then use it.

Very true, Chinmoy! It is extremely essential to be able to strike a balance between being rude and being over friendly. One may want to be real friends but the person on the other side may have different intentions.

Also, I would like to take this opportunity to reiterate the importance of not sharing personal details over public forums, including email ids. even though a person may seem very friendly and trustworthy at first, you never know what his intentions are! Unless and until you are very sure, do not share it with anyone. It is not a very good thing to do.

Well said and I think its better not to diclose any information. But i couldnt understand how some people are getting emailid etc without the intervetion of that user.

They are called as hackers they can easily rob our data from our system with out knowing us.

Apart from hacking, sometimes the email ids are displayed on individual users' profile and the user is not really aware of the dangers attached to it!!

They will send to us with many attachments when we click on them our account is hacked.

Yes, there are many ways of getting cheated in social networking sites. Once I read about the facebook. One guy got cheated by a lady of age 50. and she has kept a young beautiful girls photo. This guy was attracted. and daily he used to chat with her. This lead him to big dissapointment when he got known it is a 50 years women and he number of times helped her by giving alot of money.

Yes this was shown in news also he commited suicide also. This is a real example also.

Yes people are doing this also.. :( That's why never believe on person from his/her photos on the facebook.. Many people used to upload fake photos.

WE should not trust any unknown completely though we feel the person is genuine.
