Hello friends, today won and beats Pakistan by 4-1 in first match of hockey world cup. But why there is no awards for them. A hockey is very dangerous and hard game. Maximum time chances for getting injured, and its a running field game.
India & Pakistan Match always considered as a war not a match..
4-1 is not a bad score. Its a very nice win. But there is no award for the man of the match.
No any award for best defender. In cricket, after every match a lot of awards and presentation get organize. But nothing in hockey. Why people and chairman creates differences. A game is game.

Lohit i also accept what you say however there are lots of sports in the world where you will be awarded only at the finals for ex: Tennis, Football, Basketball etc.......
I saw the match and it was really good to see our all time rivals lost the match against us. If India wins the world Hockey Federation Cup and they will surely be awarded and appreciated.
Though Hockey is our national game there are very less sponsors for the game and many more sponsors for Cricket...Sachin got 36 lakhs worth car for the Man of the series award but in hockey You cannot imagine that...
This is also because cricket is a religion here and Indians love cricket more than anything...Hockey is nothing less than a game here...You can ads where many sport stars advice us to watch hockey and cheer the Indians...That is the place of hockey in India!!!

I also do not comprehend why Indians spend time and awards only for cricket. Why is it that we have soft corner to cricket. Is it such a fascinating game? or Is it because.. cricket is not included in olympics.
The mad cricket had spoiled the Indian youth and all other games in this country.All have time to watch it only.A full day wasting game means people wants to be idle!!Hockey and Football will end in maximum 2 hours and people are not ready to see this excitement.
