    As a matter of fact, looking for characteristics in partner arises when the friendship or marriage is arranged one. But when you start liking some one deeply, this is instant process and it is difficult to say why you like. Even then I feel that the partners should be compatible to each other. They should also complement each other's shortcoming. For example, if a partner is passive, other one should be aggressive.

    It is one tragi-comic realities of our life that one looks for certain characteristics of his or her life partner but in ceratain cases end up finding the ones which are just opposite! The truth is that the process of discovery of the traits of respective partners is a long and tortuous one.A girl may be very jovial and mature during the pre-marital meetings but once she becomes the wife and is exposed to a bigger world,she might show up to be rude and immature in her dealings.
