Parents are not educationists. Parentage does not qualify anyone to have a say in education. The parents need be involved only for giving proper environment to children at school home and supervising that children study well and do the assigned home work. The parents also need cooperative in good conduct of children at school. The parents have nothing to do with education policy in general or contents of study material.

I don't think such a move would be very wise. Such issues are better left to the specialists and remember the proverb 'Too many cooks....!'
chinmoymukherjee- Very rightly stated that too many cooks spoil the broth. Specialists in education alone should have a say in matter of education. Mere parenting does not qualify to interfere in education matter. Some good schools even advise parents not to teach at home. I remember that as my mother would teach me when I was in primary classes. I was not progressing well. One day school teacher saw that she was trying to teach according to Punjabi language whereas school medium was Hindi. She was advised not to teach me. Consequently, I improved in studies.
