There are a lot of stray dogs roaming each and every streets of India, may it be a village or a urban city. Many a times small children and people are falling prey to their bites which may at times be very harmful, specially with the risk of rabies. There are a lot of remedies going on, but to no avail. Can we really cope with this menace any longer.

This is laziness of municipalities. They don't want to work. This problem lies in my neighbour also. At 2 o'clock, late at night, dogs starts barking and fighting. We don't have peaceful sleep at night.
But dogs are playing an important role as night gaurd. Why are you so negative of them? They have also right to live freely as a social animal.

Our municipality does this job from time to time but still their number increases in no time. Considering other benefits of stray dogs like guarding during the night as mentioned by Ram and I believe they also play a role in cleaning the streets by eating up the tits bits thrown here and there they prove to be useful to us. Besides, we also need to be away from them and follow the safety rule lest we might get any harm from them...!

Ramprosad what ever you said is true and even deepak whatever you said also true. but when we go out at night time , dogs are following and scaring us this also one of the disadvantage of dogs.
