we are planned to buy new jewellery this season.
Previously, gold was reasonable to buy on Dhanteresh and we also preferred buying it before. Havent decided what to buy.
My family have planned to buy some gold coins. Also, some kind of jewellery as well.
Gold is now very costly so this year I will purchase a silver coin.
Am from andhra Pradesh, we dont have such festival we only celebrate diwali and after diwali from 5 days on5ht day we pray to snake that festival is nagulchavithi.and after that for one month we pray to lord siva.
I am really waiitng for Dhanterash. This diwali i am going to rock.
I like to buy silver because i other are not cheap so i will buy kangan for my daughter.
Gold price per 10 gm is very high in the market. Will go for silver coin this time.
Dhanterus is related to diwali. basically, Diwali and allied festivals like dhantaerus are business oriented festivals. Dyhanterus is also very auspicious for thieves. So, be very cautious of thefts and pickpocket on Dhanterus. Literally, Dhanterus- means 'thirteenth day of money;.

I have no plan to buy anything on this day. I may buy something if I actually need on this day.
I am hearing this festival for first time.Is it Akshaya Triteeya?

This cannot be akshya Triteeya. 'Tritiya' means third day. Teras means thirteenth day. Dhan Terus is also part of Diwali celebrations. People buy utensils on this day apart from other things. Thieves also consider this day auspicious. So, if you are in North India, be very careful against thieves on this day.
I haven't planned anything to buy as of now but surely think about it and discuss with other members of the family before reaching any final conclusion about it...!
