This may appear true. Dos this explain strength of capitalism. The economic policies even in con communist countries are not same. The soviet model of state ownership of enterprises and collective farming does not constitute Marxism. There can be more than one model of Marxist state just like Capitalist economies. What Marxism and Leninism emphasizes is 'From each according to his ability and to each according to his work/need'. If this is ensured or attempted, it will be Marxism Leninism, whatever be model of state organization or economy.
Gulshanji, true communism as prescrbed by Karl Marx is long dead. The policies adopted by Russia and China in the past few years would have even put Karl Marx to shame. Today for a common man communism is nothing but supreme power of the goverment. It has hardly anything to do with welfare.
Anyways, normally I dont comment on anything that is political but I read Karl Marx and his theory of communism in detail and thought would comment.
I appreciate comments of Arun jain. In fact, what Russia and China practise is not last word on Marxism and communism. Plato's concept of communism differed. Plato conceived of a society without family or marriage system and the children would be common to entire society.
