Cottage industries can easily develop in rural area. In india every district is like small country .Every district has 10 lacs to 15 lacs population wich is huge consumers for every industry. Many of places is eletricity problem .Electricity is must to establish any indusry .often distict headquarter is city.so government can arrange proper electricity suply on district head quarter basis where cottage industries can colonised .

At present country have better scope of development of cottage industry. Two program of BJP government are supporting one for cottage industry. Skill development and Mudra bank. One serious and honest efforts is required. In development of cottage industry corruption is also problem.

Everything requires promoting and the right people who can help with the same.

An old topic but not had enough response then...cottage industry does not need a great deal of money and if one starts small , thereby test the market instead of going all out right at the beginning ,it is possible to build a decent business . There are many governmental facilities available for funding cottage industries , so instead of waiting for a job endlessly , it is wiser to identify your own skill and experiment with a low budger. One of my friend is doing dress designing and traditional wall painting with the help of two tailors and selling online. She is able to earn a decent income .

But in country job means government service. Opposition is shouting on BJP government where is 2 crore jobs. They are not interested in treating mudra bank finance to unemployed person as job. BJP government sanctioned  more than 12 crore mudra loan.
