I hope this statement is not a wink to the people in common to elect Rahul Gandhi as their future Prime Minister for the country!!!

All active and competent persons should participate in Government irrespective of age. It is question of capacity to think and act rightand not age. If Manmohan
Singh feels that he is not in proper health and is too old, he may decide to quit. It is for parliament to elect a new leader- young or old.

This is all unnecessary and meaningless discussion. There are prescribed age limits- lower or upper- for various levels in government and elsewhere and activities are regulated only. It is the capacity to think and act that matters and not age. Instead of discussing such non issues, we should think of real problems. If any one including man Mohan singh feel themselves incapable owing to age or any other factor, they are welcome to quit. Our parliamentary system will provide for replacing them.
