What steps should be taken by the Government in reducing landslides?

landslide is natural phenomenon. This cannot be controlled. Government can only take relief measures These slides occur during rainy season. So traveling to hill places should be avoided during rain.

Do Government not take any step , that would be the best step by the government.

A change in the stability of a slope is called as landslide.It cant be controlled.

I don't see much of a role of the government in the prevention of landslides!
