    The foundation and the structure of the house should be strong and fully reinforced. Try to visit the website of National Building Construction Guidelines formulated by govt. of India and find out on which earthquake zone you area comes.Accordingly construct your house.

    Family requirements need be considered in deciding Built in area and rooms, bathrooms and facilities. Some vacant space of flower and veg plants is desirable. Basic amenities are more important than decoration.

    You need to do a cost calculation and choose a proper site for the construction of your house.Then you have to pay attention to the design of the house according to your budget so that it looks attractive and you can do it yourself or you can take the help of an engineer..Take a special care about the building materials like brick, sand , metals and woods that are used for the construction purpose...
